Message Pathfinder for example...100% made in Japan (it was a HUGH improvement over the 1985 S10 Blazer I had). Then I bought a new 1997 Pathfinder...it was partially designed and built here in USA.

While the 97 is still a good vehicle...it's not quite as good (maintenance/reliability wise) as was the 93 Pathfinder (97-exhaust cover sheets/panels rusting & breaking at 60 K miles/front shocks shot at 90K miles, etc.).

From my limited experience...If I have a Nissan...I'd rather it be designed and built in Japan (that excludes Europe too!).
